About

We are a community of NGO, IT, and media organizations that use technology for better transparency, accountability, and governance in the region.

We work to create a space for exchange of ideas and best practices as well as to create new collaborations between like-minded stakeholders across borders and sectors.

We do it by:

– organizing international conferences where people can learn and network;

– holding workshops that address specific knowledge gaps within the community;

– developing cross-border solutions in thematic working groups;

– replicating and documenting successful technology solutions;

– creating practice oriented research and analysis;

TransparenCEE is an initiative started by ePaństwo Foundation (EPF) and TechSoup Europe thanks to Google and the U.S. Department of State. Learn more about us below.

IF YOU’RE A NGO

Join us if you’re interested in using technology for making public sphere more open and less vulnerable to corruption, learn what others already did and get inspired by projects from Central and Eastern Europe. You can find the examples of effective projects in the Community section. Do you have your own idea? Do you want to adapt what others did and use it for your own purposes? Do you need technological and financial support? Contact us!

IF YOU’RE A CODER

Are you interested in creating technology tools for public good? Do you want to get in touch with an organization which needs ideas and digital support? First, check the in-depth analysis which were contributed by our experts. There’s a Resources section for you. In Replication section you can see how one idea, designed in specific regional environment, can be adapted by a person like you – and serve to the society which you’re a part of. If that seems inspiring, join our Slack and introduce yourself.

IF YOU’RE A DONOR

We are proud of what we’ve already done, but we’re also constantly looking for opportunities to develop. We organize workshops, facilitate cross-regional working groups and enable activists to develop best tools in cooperation with coders. TransparenCEE project is a part of huge, international network and we proudly contribute to the programs of various conferences and events.

Check out what we have accomplished so far in our multimedia report for 2016. Contact us if you would like to know more.
